My date enjoyed it but I found it somewhat bland and not a very good finish to the meal. The desert was advertised as a 'chocolate bomb' cake, however, we were served some half frozen and half gelatin apple concoction. It was advertised as wagyu which they meant as American wagyu and maybe it was but it was so tough I wouldn't believe it would grade Choice.
The tenderloin was the worst I've ever had, sharpen your teeth before coming. Service was great, more than one person checked up on us frequently.” Bottom line, if I’m ever back in this area I will return. The large margarita is huge! Tasted like it had more alcohol than other restaurants. The rice was drier than my grandma’s but did not contain any fillers like corn or peas and I enjoyed it. Plenty of onions/green peppers/tomatoes, in fact so much I did not eat all. I requested my T-Bone med rare and it was cooked more but still good. The salsa is spicy! Too hot for me but the chips were good and warm. I prefer pork BUT I tasted his and the masa was right on! His dinner was chicken enchiladas and he liked those as well. My husband ordered a side chicken tamale. I’ve only ever had that when I visited San Antonio, TX! I’m Mexican and that is my measure, grandma’s cooking. This restaurant serves food pretty darn close to my grandmothers.
